Happy making renewable fuels from energy cane and bio-waste on several different continents. Dedicated to planet-friendly energy development and supply. Forbes Energy will be producing bio-jet fuel from sugar cane this year in the USA and proud to be involved in the change of the politics of energy here at home.
Developing a new project in Puerto Rico this year and plan to be producing diesel and Jet-A from energy cane on American soil.

Arrived at Cubberley High School from a German Gymnasium and the Lycee Francais in Berlin, Germany. We lived through the blockade and the building of the wall separating East and West Berlin, most of the family at Checkpoint Charlie when the Russian and US tanks faced off at the only official crossing, never thinking that WW III could have started there, that very day!!
From Cubberley, I went to prep school in East Cornwall, CT for the Winter and Spring semester. I spoke at graduation about change and dislocation, two topics close to my heart, as Marvelwood School was my 5th high school experience, taken in 3 different languages. My high school was Cubberley and I had not been allowed to graduate from my high school! I went to school in Santa Cruz for a couple of semesters but never found my niche.
The pattern was set, as I have traveled the world for the past 50 years, lived in 15 different countries and founded several natural resource companies from New Guinea to Kenya to Brazil and Chile among others. I bought and sold a small bank in Uruguay in 1984 and came back to the States with President Reagan, settling here in Rhode Island and starting a family. My businesses have all remained overseas, principally in Russia, both as the Soviet Union and today's iteration, Africa and South America.
