Wayne Bryant Heimsoth

After taking one year of college, I signed up for four years in the Air Force as a pilot, but the draft got me and I spent two years in the Army in Germany. Got out and completed an AA at both Foothill (Accounting) and DeAnze (programming) at the same time. Then went to Cal Poly Pomona for a BS in computers. Finished an MBA on company money later.

Went to Kuwait with Bechtel (before anyone knew where Kuwait was), meet my wife in England. Came back and worked as an Information Systems Manager until three years ago. Been in the Santa Cruz mountains for 29 years now, and very active with the masonic fraternity and the Shrine

I attended 9th grade at a high school in New Jersey, so when I came to California, I started high school again in 10th grade. Didnt know anyone, and had to commute from way up in Los Altos Hills. And it took three years to lose my New Jersey accent.

My biggest memory is being called to the office to broadcast the news of President Kennedy being shot in Dallas.
